The third of my stormtrooper characters.

Bio to follow:

Corde never knew her mother. That woman vanished from her life very early in her childhood, leaving Corde and her siblings to be raised by their father. The Baize patriarch, a mid-level executive in the Corporate Sector, was a man who left the day-to-day rearing of his children to droids and hired help; as a result, Corde’s youth was lonely, even isolated, and while a gifted child she yearned for some sense of belonging beyond being just a conversation piece at the occasional party or meeting. That all changed for her one Empire Day when she was taken to the yearly parade, and watched stormtroopers on the march. The white armored soldiers’ discipline and coordination fascinated the young girl, and she threw herself into finding a place within the ranks of the Empire. Corde enlisted and pushed herself to the limit to make it through the training academy on Carida. The proudest moment of her life was when she earned the white armor for herself. A true believer in the Galactic Empire’s cause, Corde is eager – almost fanatically so – to prove her worth to the Corps and to the Imperial cause by destroying its enemies, wherever they may be found.

And now, trivia time.

- Corde is the best shot of the major stormtrooper characters in the Scallef garrison. She prefers to carry her E-11 blaster with stock fully extended, finding it aims much better in full rifle mode than with the stock folded (which is how most other troopers carry theirs).
- At five feet eight inches tall, Corde only *just* fits the bare minimum height requirement for the Stormtrooper Corps. She can get... prickly, about that, as she almost didn't make it into the Academy for this reason.
- Similar to Vidar Donnall, Corde would fall more on the "villain" side of "Punch Clock Villain." She's a devotee of the Empire's cause, and that type of belief is a very dangerous thing, especially when combined with ambition and drive.
- In terms of metafictional trivia, Corde was influenced by a mix of both Azula and Kuvira from Avatar / The Legend of Korra. Mother issues in regard to the former, and neglectful parenting in regard to the latter... and the overall idea of just having an obsessive, near-fanatical personality. Thankfully, Corde doesn't have near the level of power that either the Fire Princess or Great Uniter possessed, which is definitely a blessing.
- Though, in fairness to the above comparisons, I don't think that Corde is someone entirely without sympathy. I think that - a little bit like the ultimate outcome of Azula's story - she's going to face a very unpleasant lesson at some point about devoting yourself wholly to a leader who has no care for you.
- Corde, like most people born in the years after Palpatine's ascension to Emperor, has little to no idea of the Jedi or their role in the Republic prior to its downfall. The most that she knows of them is the barest mention of them as having been traitors to the Republic. There are idle rumors here and there about the Jedi having terrifying magical powers, but Corde is skeptical about those stories and considers such talk to be foolishness at best.
- Her trooper designation is N-74. (A slight shout-out to the Mass Effect games there, I picked up the "N7" from them.)
