Description Edmonton River Valley, taken from the 95 street footbridge.

This is a stacked-panorama consisting of 20 images (4 stacks of 5 images each.) It really should have been 30 or 40, but I was in a hurry, and couldn't spend the necessary amount of time to do it properly - I'd already missed the best light by less than a minute, and the sky was moving fast.

Maybe another time.

Nice! Do you use a tripod for your panoramas?

Thanks.. yes, I find a tripod is a must, especially for ones like this.

I hada really nice one I had borrowed from work for months then they made me take it back!

I really should get around to buying my own... Especially with my new found interest in HDR!

Yeah, it's tough to do HDR without a good tripod, especially if your camera doesn't do auto-bracketing..

I took a peek through your gallery and didn't spot any HDR shots though - you still working on them?

Yeah, I still only have the free trial version of Photomatix too which puts watermarks everywhere...

You should try some of the Open Source HDR software - Luminance HDR is free, and produces great results. Hugin apparently does HDR generation as well, but I haven't used it for that (I use it for exposure fusion and panorama generation.)
