My friend you sit there in the coldGrowing on your soul this hateful mold
Eating you apart
While you scream to yourself in the dark
But I wish to wipe away your tears
and bring things to being more clear of jeers
And the smiles I could bring upon your face
But you insist on wiping them away
You want me to care
But not love you so
I know it's not my place there
But I can't just let you go
stream from my eyesand I feel dead inside
For helping you out and letting you push me away
I feel like I was outshined
But by far more superior pain
That kept your life grey
As I sit here crying and thinking of you
I just hope things will get better
And you'll never want to make yourself sever
And let yourself stay blue
I'm crying for you
Can you feel my tears?
Why can't I wipe your pain away for you?

This is really sad... and a truly emotional piece. The rhyme scheme is truly unique. I was a bit annoyed because you changed it in the middle... but when you changed it back at the end, it restored the flow and drew the whole thing back together.

I liked this poem. It flows well and emotion is evident in it. It kind of speaks to me in two ways. One is that it's written from the perspective of a friend who'd like nothing better than to wipe the pain clear from the lives of his friends, and secondly in that it kind of reminds me of the friends I have who support me. You were very descriptive, and the the final line in a great question indeed.

people at that stage only want to be in pain because its easier than changing or becoming happier, show your friend this, tell them you feel and how much you care, people that are down, need that reassurance its the first step in feeling better knowing someone cares...its beautiful tho
