Description
For a few days, Sawaya and Yumiko are consumed with worry and despair.

They are so humiliated by the local mob boss’s first visit to their business, and, equally important, Erica has taken so much of their cash that they are struggling to stay in business. They fear that, if this continues, it will ruin them, not only financially, but emotionally and physically as well.

So, they decide to do something, but at first they aren’t quite sure what they need to do. Eventually, one of Yumiko’s friends from university gives her the name and phone number of an acquaintance who is a fighter with a local federation, BMA.

Yumiko just carries the paper with the woman’s name and phone number in her pocket for a couple of days. Finally, she musters the courage to reach out and make contact.

Xhi Suzuki fresh off the back of her latest BMA League win is very gracious and supportive when Yumiko explains the situation, and they make arrangements for the young woman and her mother to visit the gym the next day.

Sawaya and Yumiko feel a little uneasy when they enter the gym and look around at all of the intimidating equipment, not to mention the people, some of whom are a bit scary as well. But Xhi chats with the mother and daughter and helps put them at ease, and soon the conversation turns to the topic of self-defense principles and tactics.
