I really like the design of this vessel, it reminds me a lot of the HALO universe and the Babylon 5 "boxes in space" aesthetic I really like.
2 questions: What does USCV stand for?Β And how large is this ship?

Thanks very much! So to answer your question, USCV stands for United Space Command Vessel. The length of the Ulysses is approx 4,280 meters from the tip of the bow pylon to the stern. This is an older rubbishy picture of the ship. Click on this link for the giant poster of her in all her glorious detail! calamitysi.deviantart.com/art/β¦

Is there plan to make the Triton have a pic like this?
Love your work.

I feel like, visually, this design screams Battlestar Galactica (2004 series) crossed with HandofManos' Chronicles of Man ships. I'm not dissing it, just making an observation.

No worries.Β I've seen BSG but not the other series you mentioned. Neither of them were conscious influences in the design tbh, but I guess you'll always see something familiar in designs these days. Thanks for commenting!Β

It's got TIE bomber wings. Are they armor for the engines?

Yes, in a way they are. From a design standpoint,Β I needed something to flesh out the rear section a bit because from a top viewpoint,Β the ship looked far too parallel. Those wings help to really define the tail section from the front. From a technical aspect,Β tthose engines would be far too exposed in a combat situation so yes, the wings do provide extra shielding.
