Here's a sneak preview of my latest build. I'ts a follow up on the AeroCat ground effect racer, in fact this was one of the initial concepts for it. I didn't like it at the time, but felt it had promise and so I left it to stew for a few months. Then I picked it up again this summer and decided it was worth a second go. It is in the process of becoming a low flying racing craft for the deserts and canyons of Mars.I hope to make it into a cool little project...
Also I know it looks for all the world like a Wipeout racer. Guilty as charged! I nicked the basic layout and made my own spin on it
Still, I hope you like it!
(The image at the bottom center is a pic of the sacred grounds of Bonneville that I've "Martianized" to add some flavour. If anyone recognize the image and photographer, please let me know so I can credit the owner.)

Now this is an interesting vehicle and it uses Ground Effect! Hell this could be a swept forward plane too but just eyeballing it for now, seem s like the CG is really tail-heavy.
I might have to download it and find out if it'll fly as a plane or ground-effect rc vehicle.

I seriously doubt it'll fly much better than a twig
I make no claim to anything more than superficial aeronautical knowledge.
I have also made no attempt at airworthiness, just going for sculptural shape and cool factor...
Once it's done however, the model will be available for free and you can find out if I accidentally stumbled onto a brick or an actual flying machine

LOL, I'll find out if your brick will fly or not; I've been experimenting with a lot of strange aircraft from various artists to see if their idea's would work.

What I mean is that I, scratch build radio controlled aircraft from FOAM and by experimentation I try to get artists idea's to take flight. Most artist don't have 3D models of their creations so I have to design them myself on SketchUp so at least I can have equal measurements.

Some are air worthy others not so much because there either too detailed which creates a LOT of drag or the designs are too improportionate... one of the main causes of that is being too tail heavy! One artists concept of sparrows is a real crowd pleaser when I fly it in Ocean City, New Jersey as a slope-flyer/stunt plane... K-X Kite as well as his other design that was inspired by hammerhead sharks which works great as a stunt plane because of all the stabilizers... Hammerheads .
