Description This is a older design from a year or so back. This is a gravity core type warship where the decks are wrapped around a spine, like layers of an onion. I designed this with the purpose of being a sort of ideal space warship. Wether or not I pulled that one off I leave to others to decide. I quite like it, but my sister compared it to a dildo, the bitch... Anyway, the idea was that since gravity pulls toward an object from all sides, I could maipulate the gravity core to be almost any shape. I chose the cigar shape because this made it possible to effectively arm the ship equally on all sides. It also makes the crew have only three directions to relate to. Down is to the center of the ship, sideways is like on a planet, you end up where you started. That leaves only forwards, backwards and up as directions where the enemy can come from. In addition to this I tapered the hull at both ends to give maximum overlapping fire from frontal assault or stern chase, while showing off as small a profile as possible. I also made lots of small thrusters, as the idea was that you needed plenty of hits in order to knock out her drives, making the ship a really tough bastard. I took my inspiration from a handgrenade when i designed this, as i wanted it to look brutal.

Reminds me more of a cactus. Great concept, and the ship does look like something you don't wanna attack, or be attacked by.

He he, thanks. Yes, cactus that was a good one! If any of this shit was even remotely real, this is the ship I'd want to bring into a fight.

Thanks! Seacucumber.. Not very violent creatures are they... Well it beat my sisters comment by a mile. she called it a dildo. I'm very glad you like it.

You should have your sister look at the ship designs from the Honor Harrington Universe. They are quite lovingly referred to as the Space Dildos. Your design, however, is quite interesting. To me, it sort of reminds me of the Nautilus from 20,000 Leagues under the sea, albiet greatly updated. A sort of space-faring analogue perhaps? Menace of the stars. Great work.
