I think colour wise you have been very smart. You have chosen monochromatic blue colourscheme, and used blues own contrast orange to highlight, elements. You have also used purples contrast with yellow as well. Very clever. I love your background with the splash. It makes your character look way more interesting than if there had been nothing. The proportion of your woman from her waist and down are perfect! Waist up I see some small problems with the leangth og the arm, and the leangth of the torso if I should give you a little critique. I like you have lined her up some places and others not. That make her more vibrant to watch. Overall a job well done!

Interesting that you mention being inspired by video games, this reminded me of the first Witcher game for some reason, it's bee na while but I remember some quest about getting a sword from a lake or something along those lines too. Cool drawing.

Not bad for a plane trip!
Is this badass warrior girl part of any fictional universe in particular? She looks very elfin and ethereal.

I love the earthy feel to the colours as it has a rich effect in my opinion. She looks very pretty and dainty and the details and shading is very amazing <3

Nice concept, and I love how you handled the background (some splashy bits, but transparent otherwise). Overall, a really good job of coming up with the figure - the only things I would tweak are maybe the back foot and the shape of the torso (and even then, only slightly). Love the colored light, too. The highlights on the sword seem a bit odd, though - they don't really convey the shape of the metal at all. The shadows and highlights on the hair also seem a little off - but not to the point of detracting from the piece.

Thank you! I'll be sure to look at a real sword next time and actually study how light is reflected. I think that by that point I was just trying to be done with it and I rushed ^^" Bad me u_u

I do the same thing a lot of the time - rushing has been the ruin of many pieces for me.
Upside of digital is that it's a bit easier to fix things, I think.
But yeah, real sword blades tend not to be completely flat like that - there are lots of different shapes depending on the type, the culture, etc.
