Hi There!
You have just earned yourself an O.D.D. feature ! congrats!
Today's theme was titled " A TRIBUTE TO UNKNOWN PRINTS MEMBERS" !
ODDS (oibyrd's daily deviations) are to honor the sometimes overlooked artists of dA that I personally think deserve some exposure (and ALSO, to show off people who I think are undeniably talented in their own genre of art, REGARDLESS of their #'s of fav's or pageviews. I like what I like and sometimes artwork isn't featured in the regular DDs because it's popular all on it's own It's a shame, but the admins are only trying to be fair! ). Please click the link below to see your work featured and to view other featured artists . If you prefer not to be a featured artist, just send me a note and I will remove you from the list. Cheers! xoxo Sandi oxo

Nice I wonder how different that very street looked a few hundred years ago? The modern world has ruined a once beautiful earth, and I think that picture is a testament to that. It is getting more and more rare to find beauty.

The street wouldn't have looked much different from now as the centre of Edinburgh is all the old buildings. Only differences would be the buses replaced by horse drawn carriages, possibly trams depending on how far we go back and Princes Street Gardens used to be ornamental ponds at one time in the past.

Hey-- whats the name of the burnt down looking church in the middle? It is a church, isnt it?

If you mean the tall black spire on the left hand side behind the clock tower that is the Scott Monument and is just badly weathered sandstone. It tends to go black quickly due to all the bus fumes etc nearby.

yeah!! that's totally what Im talking about. What is its history? I remember being on a double decker bus on one of those cheesy tours, looking at it, but they never told us what it was... just that Sean Connery modeled in the nude at one of the schools....

I am happy with the picture and am so glad it came out as well as it did. As the filter i used combined with the weather and vantage point have given a soft dreamy look to the picture. It makes the picture for me.
