They still look black to me. Crummy laptop screen? Anyway, I can picture this as it's meant to be and it looks wonderful.

Yeah, I haven't seen a computer yet where it captures the wine color. It IS a very deep color, so maybe there is no solutions.

I've been watching the problems in your part of the world with all of the flooding. I hope you and yours are all safe and dry.

Some beautiful, large houses were built about a mile from me in what is obviously a flood channel for the local canyons. It hasn't flooded through there in a long time, but it will! In Southern California, another potentially very bad place is on a hill since we have mudslides every year like clockwork. I guess every place has its hazards.

Oh, bless you. Thankyou, we were all fine. I was in Wales, halfway up the side of a hill, when it was all happening and now I'm in Exeter, halfway up the side of a hill. We will build housing estates on floodplains
Mind you, a friend of mine is moving to Gloucester (the worst-hit area) soon. We told him to get a first floor flat.

I got the bead at a kind of yard sale put on by costumers. The others beads were picked up here and there at local stores, and the jewelry district in L.A. It's been in the works for awhile.

If you have a photo editing program you can make em red. This is very pretty....very gothic.

I use Photoshop Elements 3.0. If I increase the red cast, everything gets a bit red. I have some more stuff in this theme that I will be posting, on one of which I tried this technique. But, I'm still working on it.

I don't know what else I could have done. I had it in a light box, with cool, pure white lights. I'm not a photographer. There MUST be something else, but right now, it's beyond me.
