I've been looking through your gallery again, comparing pictures, and for some reason... your skill doesn't remain consistent. I've noticed that sometimes you go through funks where the anatomy is slightly off...
Forgot where I was going to go with that, but in any case, the anatomy is great in this one. I like this pose here, as well. Again, I wouldn't have been able to handle it.
Your good with the whole "flowing hair" thing, too.
On a totally unrelated note: She reminds me of Sango from Inuyasha.

hehe, that may be because my gallery doesn't go in chronological order...when I first signed on to DA my scanner was unfuctional so I had random pieces scanned in...but now everything should go in order

That colouring works pretty well. I d have a tip for colouring the sword, which you may want to try.
Maybe having the highlight go horizontally across the blade, and make the metal darker on both sides of the highlight.
It's still a cool pic of Taki all the same!
