The key characters who changed Cinder for the better in U.P-Verse. She's still a moody bi*ch, but she is more friendly compared to how she was.

Axew, Cubone, Bellsprout: The only friends Cinder had throughout her life. Those who stood by Cinder, even in the darker times. Although they didn't like or agree on the path she took with Salem, they knew she would become a worse person if they weren't around. And deep down, they still saw the friend they knew, and waited for the day she would come back.
BlackAgumon: As Pagumon, he was also one of Cinder's friends since she was a kid. He was thought to be dead at the hands of Cinder's abusive family. However, he reunited with Cinder in Mistral after her encounter with Nemesis. He was able to help repair the person Cinder use to be.
Tessa: She met Cinder as she was being chased by Nemesis. She managed to save Cinder from the monster, and take Cinder to her home. She was the first person to show kindness to Cinder, even though her life was also in danger. Cinder didn't want to admit it at the time, but she grateful. At first Cinder thought Tessa would be angry about what she did before meeting her, but she wasn't for some reason. She kinda had a feeling ever since she saved her from Nemesis. But she could see something in Cinder that not even Cinder could see. Over time Cinder's feelings for Tessa would grow and grow, and the same could be said for Tessa.
Starscream: When Cinder joined S.H.I.E.L.D she was partnered up with Starscream. Fury didn't exactly trust Cinder, so he paired her up with Starscream to have someone keep an eye on her. Starscream could relate to Cinder seeing as how he was once apart of a massive war. He wanted to gain approval from Megatron, but deep down he just wanted to prove that he was strong. When the war ended, he was one of the very few Decepticons to serve his time on Earth. He was placed under the watch of the Autobots on Earth as well as S.H.I.E.L.D. It was this reason that both he and Cinder could connect so well with each other. Over time Starscream and Cinder became good friends.
Lea: When Cinder gained her Keyblade, she was unable to use it to it's fullest. Thats when she was approached by Lea, who offered to be her teacher. While he wasn't a Keyblade Master yet, he offered to train Cinder because out of everyone he knew what it like to be in Cinder's shoes. When he was Axel, he did things he wasn't proud of. But thanks to the friends he made, Roxas, Xion, and Sora, he was able to change into someone better. So he and Cinder shared similar histories. The two have a relationship similar to siblings in a way.
