here's a skateboard design for my digital imaging for print class. ill be doing a series of all the four horsemen of the apocalypse, so stayed tuned.this is not technically how this will turn out, because ill be traditionally painting a blank board - using vinyl cutouts to get the stroke around the text and pestilence, then using lasertron to get the lines onto the board. this is a work in progress - so we'll have to see how this process looks when all is said and done. ill post pictures of it being used in the hard, concrete jungle by a few a my thrasher friends.

So, I was bored with a friend yesterday, and she decided to take me around Kendall (she's a photo student there), and totally saw this on display and I was like "HEY!! I know that kid!" even though none of that shit is labeled in there.

also, a friend of mine was making his own long boards and was strapped for graphics so he was using some old posters he cut out. He said he just varnished the posters right onto the boards. I thought they were pretty professional looking. What about a high quality print and varnishing it to the bottom of a deck? save ya some time?

dude, im all about saving some time. you got any pictures of how those boards turned out? i'd be into looking into the process a bit more. but - as for now i know the "long" way will work so.. bring forth the workhorse

how'd you get those dope splatters?
my only complaint is the cropping. Cutting the horse's nose off staggers the movement in the compostition a bit, plus it leads me right off the page.
other than that, i'd skate that hell out of this board!

yea for sure - i know what your saying, bad planning on my part. but if i shrink the image down to fit it all on the page pestilence is too small and it looks kinda weird. i didn't plan on cropping it all all but, all of a sudden i had these board width restrictions which i didnt think about originally. all well - live and learn
