Description
made this one last evening (along with many others) whist watching an episode of -Doctor Who- (the rings of Akhaten- if interested)... the tea dyed card stock is 3.5 x 5.5. the ink used for the image was a combination of alcohol pigmented dyes and hickory husk ink made 20 years ago.
when this image took shape, i set it aside and did nothing else to it... i liked the primitive/ half mad undercurrent this has... but then i've been called both at some point in the past. while what i "see" here is -Loki- (or maybe
Lloyd Alexander's - Book of Three from -The Chronicles of Prydain- (an excellent series i read many times growing up, along with Susan Coopers -The Dark is Rising- series (still haunted by that one) i have recently had someone say there was also a resemblance to the House of Baratheon Stag used on -Game of Thrones- ...not having seen the series i cannot attest to the validity of this comparison, but an Icelandic/ Viking-esque influence would be hard to ignore.
