This is something that really had me stop and stare for a while. I love the connection between the image and that sentence, it brings out many thoughts of possible stories that goes behind this picture.

i think my love of haiku influenced this in many respects.
the fact that there is an untold story before reading the sentence, and an unspoken continuation of the narrative after the words are spoken seems very natural

Alot of possibilities in this....
I don't think it's simple at all, but i t still qualifies.
I like it very much.

If this happened more often, our world might end up being as great as we always say it is.

For some reason, I can picture someone saying this to an Emily Dickinson type.

that was in the back of my mind when i found the text
(in fact the story might have been set in that era, but i cannot be sure on that fact)...when i put them with the image, they fit so well that looking for other combinations seemed rather pointless.

thank you. i'm constantly looking for images in old books or other publications that have been discarded. a lot of the things i find are not very useful, but when something stops me from turning the page (as this one did) i'll save it for a future project...this was a fairly recent find (image wise) but the words came from a much older book bought at a thrift store
i have files of pictures that are several years old waiting to be used

Oooh, I love how it is indeed simple, but tells a story~ And I really want to know how to do that hairstyle...

What kind of braid is that called?

ScottMan2th In reply to Chelo-kun [2012-12-02 19:42:41 +0000 UTC]
on that subject, i'm clueless...personally, i am too tall for my hair since, there's more of my scalp visible than my remaining (and rapidly diminishing)hair *sigh*

It appears to be a Dutch braid or an inside-out-French braid. It differs from a normal French braid in appearance by the pattern standing out on top instead of being mostly hidden underneath.

That is a french braid, pulled tightly and quite well done.
