Description Just wanted to use really saturated colors again. Does anyone else get tired of hearing people say color is the least important part of a painting? F**k that!

Huh! This reminds me of the final scene in 9. Have you seen that movie? The one by Shane Acker?

I love how you were able to create the illusion of a nearly full and blended coloured landscape using only opaque shapes and-- what appears to be the airbrush tool?

Great job!

I love the saturation, is what makes things interesting. The green glow really ties everything together. Beautiful

They say colour is the least important? That sounds odd... Hard to believe.

This is awesome, but since I am not proficient in art I can't describe why. The colours are just really cool and I like the environment.

Least important doesn't mean not important, but yeah, after watching a lot of pro artists all say the same stuff in their "education videos" one thing they all are keep preaching is that color is the least impactful part of what make as a good painting.

:I

That's interesting food for thought. I always thought the colours always played a big role, though it'd be interesting to hear why. I may look into it.

...Who says that? o.O I think someone needs to go have a talk with these "people". 'Cause that's sheer craziness, as evidenced by this. The colors really are fantastic and complement each other really well.

Oh dude. So many professionals say that. And it's sort of true, composition, values, all that jazz are typically treated as priorities. Color gets the shaft because it's so easy to change with photoshop tools.Β

Perhaps then, they're the one voted Most Likely to Worry About Later. But your colors will still make or break your piece. o.O I guess it depends on what your focus is, but I'm coming from more of a studio/illustration viewpoint, and color is pretty friggin' important. xD Then again, traditional media is more prominent there, so maybe that's it.
