Personality - Cheerful, easygoing, never complains and rarely questions, and is quick to laugh or joke or tease good-naturedly. He is a massive skirt-chasing flirt.

Background -
  Before becoming a DMCU operative, Shawn was an Olympic swimmer and worked as a negotiator on a police tactical team. About two years ago, his unit was called to a hostage situation at an aquarium. Something was off with the whole situation, however, and though Shawn was able to talk down the hostage-taker, he was sucked into a portal to the Digital World. The incident was taken over and covered up by the newly-formed DMCU.
  Months later, Shawn reappeared on a beach, with nothing but a pair of board shorts and a small statue of a fish man. Shay and the DMCU picked him up, interviewed him, tested and evaluated him, discovered he was a Spirit user, and eventually offered him a job. After intense training, Shawn mastered his Spirit and is now a member of the DCMU.
  …Apparently, anyway. Shawn has had amnesia since returning to the real world, and has learned everything he knows about his past and the world from second-hand accounts, incident reports, and the internet. He remembers nothing at all from more than 4 years ago, and if asked about about his past or family, he will nearly always tactfully change the subject.

  Currently, Shawn is on the Aquatic Response Team, where he performs coast guard type duties, does the occasional supply or transport run, and fights any Dig-menaces from the deep that may surface. He lives in an apartment on the island, as his former home is now more awkward than sweet for him. Rumour has it there’s a locked room in his flat. Rumours also fly about what’s in said room…
  If not out in the field, Shawn can be found by the water or lounging around somewhere being social and doing nothing. His hobbies include girls and surfing.
