A warrior king that never ceased fighting for his kingdom and citizens, [name] has always aimed for peace and safety of those who relied on him. When travelling to a allied kingdom to assist them in ending an onslaught of raids on their fields and people they came across a beast sent to destroy them. The battle between the monster was intense, its skin hard and reflective like a shell with only a soft protected underbelly rendering most physical attacks to be pointless. [Name] used his wits and years of experience to get the upper hand and toppled the beast, ready to behead it when he ended up rethinking and offering kindness. The beast, surprised and impressed, ended up becoming much like a lost puppy that now follows and protects the king and those he holds dear.

They now are nearly inseparable.
