Description So I finally found an ambient occlusion tutorial that's simple AND based around Maya.

These are the scalpels I used in my 3d enviroment.
Each took from 10-20mins to model (including tips/blades).
Made to look like blades are compatible with certain handles.

I've had this idea forever in my head.
-Just had to figure out how to do an AC pass.

Just some slight changes to make it "whiter" and to increase quality.

That's some slick renderin', bud! The one farthest to the white is sexiest of them all in my book.

well done! But don't you think the lighting is a bit to high? Seems to me it's over-exposed...

It's kida what I was going for.
The first render still had the soft lighting, but verything was grey.

I adjusted it in maya to ake it whiter.

select everything
make a new render layer
right click the render layer and choose ambient occlusion preset
render
done.
