That's what the ink brush is sort of made for. The roller wouldn't paint very well that way.

But it can change form, it totally should have switched between deployed rolling and splatterai swings.
I'm totally satisfied with using the paint brush though, even though the victory pose reveals it's super starched to point one direction.
