Senshi Name: Sailor Lepidolite Chipmunk (unofficially shortened to "LepChip" from here on out)
Civilian Name: Cassidy Seward

Personality: Over the years, Cassidy Seward has decided that maturity is the most important quality that she should possess. While she has yet to become successful, she already has the traditional business-like approach down pat. Cassidy is confident, independent, and respectful. While not overly charismatic, she is skilled at using facts and rational thinking to convey her opinions and convince others to follow her advice. A plan exists for every project she undertakes, and she takes on the responsibilities of others without complaint.

Cassidy will never say that she "wants" to do things. She "has" to do things. The goals she wishes to achieve are seen as solemn duties, and when something becomes her duty, she will carry it out come hell or high water. Every project will have her full attention focused on it, every promise will be fulfilled quickly, and every secret will be taken to her grave. However, Cassidy is often immensely stubborn when it comes to her duties. Once she's decided on what she has to do, and how she has to do it, changing her mind is next to impossible, even if a change in circumstances makes such alterations of planning necessary. To her, an altered plan is as abhorrent as a failed one, because both options show weaknesses that she is not allowed to possess. Success, in Cassidy's mind, requires the ability to completely conceal one's weaknesses.

Cassidy is a kind young woman with a love of both intellectual and material beauty and a warm smile. Most people, however, would be shocked to hear her described in that matter. Cassidy's "soft side" only seems to come out when she's at home or with close family. In public, she keeps a very serious demeanor. She would call it being professional; to others, it often comes off as aloof and cold. Indeed, Cassidy is a rather introverted individual with a tendency to avoid contact with strangers that will not lead to an immediate, practical outcome. She chooses to remain solitary because it makes maintaining her professional image much easier. Many things hide beneath that facade, including an ever-growing heap of frustration, anger, and self-doubt that she constantly struggles with when she's alone.

Background: Cassidy grew up in a New England college town with her parents and younger brother. Her father did marketing at a big company in the city, while her mother balanced taking care of her kids with a part-time job as a nurse at a local hospital. A few weeks before Cassidy's eleventh birthday, her mother was killed in a car accident on the way home from work. Her dad quit his own job to stay at home with her and her nine-year-old brother, but she insisted on doing as much as possible to help him out. For the next six or seven years, all her time was spent either doing schoolwork or taking care of things at home. After graduating from high school with an impressive GPA, Cassidy enrolled at Indiana University to pursue a career in business (after multiple reassurances from her father that things would be fine at home without her). Continuing to dedicate herself to her studies, Cassidy succeeded when it came to grades...but was less successful in terms of social connection. At the end of her sophomore year, she was forming plans to buy a single's apartment, but then...

"Shining Lepidolite...Crystallize!"

Powers:

"Chipmunk Sense" : LepChip is able to innately sense if she is in danger. This effectively functions as a radar, where she instinctually knows if someone/something is going to endanger her and what direction the attack is coming from. The radar extends around her in a forty-yard radius. However, a stealthed opponent will not trigger LepChip's radar, and she is not able to sense attacks that are headed towards anyone else.

Lepidolite Geo Bolt!: LepChip kneels down and begins to mime digging into the ground as a chipmunk would. Her motions generate a ribbon of soil that circles around her in an upwards spiral. As she stands back up, the soil coalesces into a ball, which she then propels forward with a push of energy. The finished ball of soil is reinforced with a small amount of magical energy; a non-youma target hit by the ball will feel as if they've been hit with an average punch, and the soil will explode over them like a snowball. The ball travels at about 15 mph and has the corresponding trajectory/range, but it will only travel in a single straight line and will not home in on a target.

Power Weaknesses: Besides the pre-listed limitations, LepChip's Geo Bolt is best countered by water or ice attacks. An water attack will weaken the force and velocity of the soil ball, whereas an ice attack that hits the ball will stop it altogether.

(*1) This is her "starting age" as of the first major story quest . Said birthday occurs one to two weeks before said quest.

Seriously, the art piece for this was finished...basically two months ago, and I've spent most of the time since struggling over how to portray Cassidy's civilian half! But I am definitely super psyched to finally have her out in the world and ready to interact with the rest of the Crystal Animamates...whether she likes it or not >:3

As this is my first big drawing project in quite some time, I really wanted it to look nice, especially the full body pictures. While I'm sure it's nowhere near perfect, and my attempt at shading looks absolutely horrendous post-scanning, I am quite pleased with what I was able to do. The only real gripe I'd have with it is that I don't have her hair down pat in terms of drawing style. I was going for curly, but the bust shot in particular came out as just...wavy. For reference, here's a concept image I made using one of 's doll makers that has the proper look for Cassidy/LepChip's hair:

Anyway...the first big hurdle has been overcome! I honestly can't wait to start interacting with you guys -- especially the newest members :3
