FINALLY finished!! Okok, it didn't take that long considering how long I spend on huge projects... But anyway XD
Gift art for *ox-of-ice ! I've decided not to do another gift art piece (sorry Ox!) 'cause this drained me... I'll sketch my idea and show it to ye anyway!
Ok... this is Caline, Ecume and Pagan (from left to right - Caline is the yellowish one, Ecume the blue one and Pagan the black one)... The one I'm most satisfied with... either Caline or Ecume (I like Ecume's colouring but not his mane, and vice versa for Caline), and Pagan: just... bleh. XD I can't colour black things. He's MULTICOLOURED. Very reflective black he has there...
SWOOSH go them down from somewhere. Dunno how any of them got up there in the first place (Caline has a better excuse than any of them).. but anyway. Caline is some sunshine unicorn, Ecume is the sea, and Pagan is... something or other. Something dark? Sorry for my lack of research X_x But I know he kinda half takes on the colour of his environment... AND he doesn't look ANYTHING like a friesian here... all my equines look the same. I tried to make his and Caline's manes wavier and Ecume's all... Pantene-ad-ish, but it didn't work and they all ended up looking like bushes. Fun.
Hmm... me don't likey the background... but everything else is alright I guess. Pagan's mane is really bothering me: it reminds me of some swirly icecream.
AND. Everything looks really messy now... I'm gonna hate this picture tomorrow. Probably because their manes are flowing forward... but I've hardly seen any pictures with manes going forward (always backwards!) so I decided to do this. MESSY. Like... my own hair.

Btw! I think the manes are lovely 
And don't worry about those friesians... getting that breed down is so hard. I can't do it well either. I just give them a square nose and frizzy hair and hope people guess right lmao.

Fantastic composition! The angle you caught them at is so original and DIFFICULT... and yet you managed not to make it look wonky! Mazinggg.

Ecume's markings... they took a while for me to figure out XD I was trying to do it exactly like the ones in your pictures... but it hurt my eyes and brain so I did random markings... and I tend to like drawing really swirly stuff so it ended up looking a little odd
Hehe yes, I remembered Caline's pendant!! I didn't have it in there originally... but I felt that she needed it there so I stuck it in and... yeah. It's not very detailed! XD Just kinda... a little blob thing with a sparkle!
YES black is horrible to colour!! Shading black or white is haaarrrd.... but I suppose this turned out alright, even though Pagan looks a little like an icecream mix.
Haha yes they're drifting!! Swooshy things. They were fun to do!! Ecume's was a little difficult since I'm hopeless at drawing water but the others were fun and they look kinda like pieces of cloth o_O I don't even know what they are myself... some kinda abstract thing XD
*is probably more honoured than you are* You put this as your DESKTOP? o_O I don't think it'd look very good on my screen... I would be very scared every time I turned on my computer to see a piece of my art, and every time I see it, I find more mistakes. So I'd better not... then I'd risk forcing myself to delete it!

I really love the way you did their manes...it does not look like mess to me...i think it is very beautiful...and I really like the shading and coloring on the dark one-I like those color combos...Your shading on the picture as a whole is really smooth-you have got one of the best shading skills I have seen on DA....very unique. wonderful job!

You've done a fantastic job on this one! I don't know anything about the characters, so I cant say if you got them right or anything, but i will say that I love the picture itself, no matter how accurate it is.

Stunning Scrii, just stunning. The way you did the stars is just beautiful, the way they actually appear to sparkle. I adore the trails of colours streaked under and behind the characters, it really makes the mood mystical and extra beautiful. Also, the way you did the manes/tails is a great technique, makes it look super fluffy
