My word.

this was an experiment that went wayyyyy out of hand. i just couldn't stop drawing and tweaking until it was done. i spend at least four hours straight making this.

one of the things i was experimenting with was line weight. usually, i draw with pretty thick lines. and i wanted to see what would come out if i stuck to thin lines. it was pretty difficult to just go over lines once or twice, and just leave it at that.

the second thing that i was experimenting with was minimal detail. the meng pictures and the juan revamp were kind of preludes to this.. i wanted to see how little i could fiddle with the colors before it would look like a 'completed' piece - because sometimes i think i go overboard or try too hard with details, which ends up ruining the piece in my eyes.

so yuh, the lesson of this ScrotumChapter is CHILL. DON'T BE TOO ANAL DAVE. takes away the 'art' from 'heart' when you overconstrue.

as for the subject matter, i thought it'd be cool to draw more wintery things. and haha, even though the color palette is totally Sunny D, i still think there's a bit of a wintery vibe in there. I TRIED MY HARDEST TO MAKE IN A COOL PALETTE, i really did. but the flesh is weak. my guardian spirit is an orange.
