Description
Well, I started out drawing...something, I suppose, and then fell back on sort of what I know. An original creature-creation, the Rionn is (for those who came in late) a River-spirit/Guardian, this one decked out in warrior gear.Slightly re-designed the tail to be a bit more eel-like, and less fish-like. Still has the fish-ears, though.
(The hair was somewhat inspired by Steve McNiven's style on Meridian and Marvel Knights 4.)

It's nice to see a new Rionn after so long, I was beginning to wonder if you had abandoned this race . . . (I still have a fan-Rionn who is sitting in the back of my mind waiting to be drawn, even.)
I really like the tattoos and the small details of texture that you've worked in. I'm also struck by the fact that she's much more slender than a lot of her compatriots. I'm glad to see that there's more than one sort of fish in the sea.
So, what river is she?

Yeah--as it was, I did start out drawing something else, but...kind of turned into this. Glad that you approve, though.
I haven't actually picked a river yet, though I'm leaning toward the "D River" [link] (apparently, the world's shortest river, or so it is claimed.) That may account for her somewhat slight stature....
