…Karkat. Oh lord. I went to pick him up out of the basket by his cute wittle candy red grub body, only to have him bite the hell out of my finger. “HOLY SHIT OW GOD DAMN IT KARKAT WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT FOR?!?!?!” I screeched, sucking on the bitten finger while glaring right back at the little grub. His pure red eyes were kind of alarming though. I was about to punish him when I heard him sniffle. I sighed, dropped my hand, and gently massaged his head, being wary of his horns. When he started to purr, I carefully picked him up and held him to my chest, like you would a baby. I thought he might bite again, but he didn’t; he just snuggled up to me, while looking me directly in the eye. “Sleepy my little guy?” He squeaked, and began nibbling on my shirt. I silently giggled, and made my way to our bedroom. I slipped him into the slime after giving him a quick reminder to not ingest that crap, and then I went over to Karkat’s dresser. I felt my smile slip away as I looked at a picture of us, one of the only times he’s ever smiled. I held back my tears, and slipped off my shirt, only to slip on one of his so that I could feel closer to him. I went over to my bed and slid in, falling into an uneasy sleep.

*Timeskip to the next morning*

I grumbled, and hauled myself out of the bed. I headed over to the recuperacoon, only to find my little Kit-Kat… Not there. Oh god where is he?! I started to panic, looking all around the room, but then I realized there was noise coming from the living room. I hurried into there, realizing I had left the romcom I was going to watch after dinner with Kit-Kat running. I spotted the little tyke on the couch, crying while watching a sad part in the movie. I chuckled, shaking my head. I began to walk towards him, catching his attention. “You never change do you, love?” I giggled, and picked him up, watching him squirm while trying to reach me. I laid on my side, and curled around him, giving him as much attention as possible.

*Small Timeskip to after the movie ends*

After the movie ended, and I had wiped away all of Karkat’s tears, I picked him up and carried him to the kitchen, to get something to eat. I sat him down on the counter, and began searching the cabinets for baby-friendly food. I spotted some applesauce, and knowing how much Kar hates Dave with his apple juice, I pulled it out and placed it on a plate. I sat it down in front of him, and watched as he began to lap it up. Smirking, I took out sandwich supplies and made a nice big ol ham and cheese sammich. I cut it in half, and munched until Kit-Kat was finished.

When he was finished, he let me know by coming over to where I am AND BITING THE *HELL* OUT OF MY ARM. I hissed, and swerved to see him waddling back over to his plate. I picked him and his plate up, and set it in the sink while I carried Kar to give him a bath. Once reaching the bathroom, I shut the door and locked it, grabbed a towel, and set him in the sink while I began to run some warm bath water. When the tub was filled to a grub-safe height, I picked up the hissing grub and sat him in the water. He growled and hissed at me, splashing water everywhere. I rolled my (e/c) eyes, and picked up some shampoo, put a dab on my finger, and began to rub it into his hair, trying to avoid his horns. But sadly, the little nubby things got hit repeatedly, making him purr loudly and vibrate the water. I tried my best to not just say hell with this, that is, until I saw a flash of blinding light, heard a squeak, and then a choking noise. When I could see again, I saw a full grown Karkat, spluttering and butt-naked, with nothing covering him. I blushed darkly, just as he was. Suddenly he grinned, and pulled me into the tub with him. Let’s just say you had a good time, a’ight? *WINK WONK*
