I always loved making up stories in english. Sucked at the grammar but I always seemed to get teachers that emphasized the creation of the idea and development over the mechanics of language.

My current creative writing prof is like that, which is nice because it takes off some of the pressure to be a "perfect" writer grammatically. Unfortunately he's also a pot head psycho so you can't really put much stock in his opinion .
