Description My first successful image made with Terragen. It's an interesting contrast to the landscapes in Bryce, but I do love the realistic feel it gives an image! I had planets in the background but I thought it was too much for this particular image so I left it as it was. I might add more to this later, it still seems like it's lacking something to me, but for now it is what it is .

THIS IS NOT STOCK Please do not use this in your own work, the only things in my gallery that can be used are the brushes for photoshop and the various textures and gradients I have offered. Pay attention to the categories!

I've never been to any of them either But still I love them. I've seen enough of Stargate to get a good picutre of what Canada looks like... it's got great scenery! By the way I love your avatar!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Scully7491 In reply to DJVue [2006-01-28 19:06:12 +0000 UTC]

Thank you!

Terragen is a 3d landscape rendering program (hence this image). It's free for non commercial use if you're interested in downloading it just google Terragen for their homepage .

is it simple to use for a poor beginner like me?

It's not all that simple, but there are some great tutorials here: [link] that will get you started and learning the interface. (I'm a beginner too at this program!)

This is actually Terragen, I was comparing it to what I've achieved in Bryce . Thanks for the suggestion! That sounds like a great way to break it up without ruining the general feel of the image .

Thank you!

*random hallucinatory song*

Slip sliding away, slip sliding away
You know the nearer your destination, the more you slip sliding away

Whoah and I know a man, he came from my hometown
He wore his passion for his woman like a thorny crown
He said dolores, I live in fear
My love for you’s so overpowering, I’m afraid that I will disappear

Slip sliding away, slip sliding away
You know the nearer your destination, the more you slip sliding away

I know a woman, (who) became a wife
These are the very words she uses to describe her life
She said a good day ain’t got no rain
She said a bad day is when I lie in the bed
And I think of things that might have been

Slip sliding away, slip sliding away
You know the nearer your destination, the more you slip sliding away

And I know a father who had a son
He longed to tell him all the reasons for the things he’d done
He came a long way just to explain
He kissed his boy as he lay sleeping
Then he turned around and he headed home again

Slip sliding away, slip sliding away
You know the nearer your destination, the more you slip sliding away

Whoah God only knows, God makes his plan
The information’s unavailable to the mortal man
We’re workin’ our jobs, collect our pay
Believe we’re gliding down the highway, when in fact we’re slip sliding away

Slip sliding away, slip sliding away
You know the nearer your destination, the more you slip sliding away

Slip sliding away, slip sliding away
You know the nearer your destination, the more you slip sliding away

Love the Terragen rendering look.
