Description
This is Marbles the Merkatillar. He has legs and feathers like a chicken, feet like a gecko, antennae like ears and likes munching on maple leaves and chilling with his guitar. He'd make a wonderful pet for those that are laid back.My camera did my sculpture no justice. X(
approximately 9 inches tall, painted Sculpey clay, feathers and tissue paper.

wow that is an awesome job, how did you do the fur? The feet still looks like chicken feet to me but it could be the image quality thats throwing it off.

The easiest way to explain it is to a put thin layer of glaze on the skin then you put the feathers on. There's a trick to making it look like fur instead of feathers but It's kind of complicated,takes like two minutes per feather. I had to redo some parts because I messed up and its started looking gross.

sounds tedious, 2 mins per feather sounds like the 3D equivalent of fur with it having 2 mins per frame per hair strand (times number of hair strands)
