I agree that Batman and Gotham City would fit a Noir setting. I imagine it'd be much less action-focused, though, and more dramatic conversations between Batman and his enemies.

Heh, I imagine that too! I do think there would be some action, but like you said more conversations.

I guess because Marvel has an entire Noir universe DC won't thread in it it, I suspect...though Batman would fit right in with a noire setting

I suppose that makes sense...but with how DC and marvel have been known to copy each other from time to time, I don't think it should be a problem. besides, Noir is a genre. Marvel can't take copyright on that!

Ya, I haven't read it myself yet, but its called "Batman: The Doom That Came To Gotham". Your batman design is almost exactly how Batman looked in that story! But again I have not read it, but its on my to read list

Ah! the Doom that came to Gotham, I remember that one. Not completely sure if I would call it a Batman: Noir story as it is more inspired by Lovecraft stories with horror and such, rather then Detective noir stories, but its been a long while since I read it, so I may remember it a bit differently. (Really need to give it a read again soon)
