Number 2 of my top 11 favorite sonic characters. Sally Acorn!
I first saw sally in Satam, and later in the comics. why do I like Sally? first of all, She is a tomboy! and boy gosh, I love tomboys! I have nothing against girly girls, I for example do like, Amy. especially in boom, but I like tomboys more. and, she is F***ing badass! She is a tactician, and can put up a fight! Seriously, she fought freaking metal Sonic in the comics! I also like how she is a planner, and can make good plans! Sometimes they fail, but thats good too! doesn't make her a mary sue! She also gets captured too, but like I said, it makes her not a mary sue.
but yeah, she is a badass princess, who is a leader, and a genius at making plans! She, will always be my number 2 favorite character!
Now, next one is my number 1 favorite character and that is.....OMOCHAO!!!!

She is brave, she had to give up her childhood to lead her team, she is even willingly to sacrifice her own life for other yet people always complain about her, and not only the hater, even her,so called "fans": if she shows to be smart or strong, she is a Mary-sue; if some of her plans do not work the SAME people who called her a Mary-sue,call her an incompetent; if she cries because she blames herself for something, she is a cry baby; if she cannot cook,it's a CRIME; if she doesn't wear clothes,she is a slut;if she DOES wear clothes, it's wrong because she HAS to be nacked and she HAS to have her cheek fuzz, because people CLEARLY have a fetish for those; they say that she is overpowered( yeah, sure-_- she only has two blades);
They complain if she is not a copy and paste of her SatAM version; they say that she is a Mary-sue because her love interest used to be the main charater( by this logic Mary Jane, Lois Lane,Betty Ross,etc..are ALL Mary Sues-_-) or because she had a romant relationship with more than one charater(then Batman,Spiderman,Hulk,Ironman,Worlverine,and basically almost EVERY comic book chatater is a Mary-sue)!
Why can't they just leave her alone?

I love Sally as well. She was a princess who doesn't need to be saved.
I hate the reboot through, and her redesign is one of the reasons I do. Her SatAM design is the best official look for her.

I don't really see the point for the hating of the redesign. it makes her fit into the game universe.

It takes away from the uniqueness and appeal of the character.
Plus, it came out of Mecha Sally's chopped up body, so that gives me even more reason to hate it.

Actually...it didn't come out of met sally's chopped up body. the universe got rebooted! Mecha sally never got deroboticized. in the new universe, sally has always looked like this!

I don't give a darn! Sal's memories were restored, so the design came out of that, plus the reboot is just terrible. There are some elements of the Old Archie that I liked and I enjoyed it up to #125, I also found some of Flynn's arcs entertaining, but I feel nothing but emptiness from the reboot.
Which is why I turned to Kiva's Mobius Greatest Heroes, there he fixed a lot of things wrong with the Archie Comics.
Who knows, I might even follow in his footsteps, and create my own Sonic Old Archie-Based story that changes up just a few things, but basically the same with some good arcs.

I want to love this character, but for a reason I can't explain, I just don't like her as much as others. She's a good character, but not one of my favorites.

Sally was probably one of the first female characters I remember in my childhood who was more active then a damsel (aside from the female power rangers) so I loved her right away from satam. And now here skills and backstory are improved upon in-comic, she definately has become a fav of mine and many others
