Fun fact...did you know that the opening sequence to "Indiana Jones 1: Raiders of the lost arc" Was inspired by Scrooge McDuck? Its true! it was inspired by a Scrooge Comic from 1954 called "The Seven Cities of Cibola" In it, Scrooge, Donald and the boys find an idol(Just like in Raiders of the lost arc), but Its the beagle boys that remove it which causes The entire cave to collapse around them (Just like in Indiana Jones) And they also get chased by a giant boulder too!So....yeah. Scrooge McDuck inspired Indiana Jones. He truly is the richest Duck in the world!

Indiana Jones belongs to Lucasarts which in turn belongs to Disney.

Scrooge being an inspiration to adventures like Indiana Jones is awesome. And people forget that Indian Jones has only been around since the 80's, but Scrooge goes back decades to the 40's.

That scrooge inspired INdie...from one awesome franchise to another. DIsney inspired others, and they create new stuff to further inspire others. Like a caroussel of inspiration

But yeah! Its a bit funny how the Donald Duck universe inspired Indiana Jones. And heck, its not the only amazing thing that Donald has done, the comics even discovered a molecule 20 years before science, and one time, there was this guy that had "Invented" A way to raise a sunken ship...but he couldn't get copyright on it because Donald Duck had done it in comics WAY before he did...the irony? The Guy had never read that Donald Duck Comic, but it was the exact same concept!

Power Rangers: Operation Overdrive was basically DuckTales, but with the Power Rangers instead of Scrooge. It's hotly debated if that was a good idea or not.

But technically Disney does already own him as the own Marvel. the problem is the movie deal Fox has, that they got the movie rights to the character.
