I am not good with titles. I am also tired of calling them portrait 2 and 3.

I started this illustration a loooonnnnggg while ago. I was still in the rough stage. Then I stopped. I was kinda wanting to do another illustration so I thought I would complete this one.

I do not know if I would have found it easier to just redraw from scratch but trying to continue from a previous illustration felt weird...Like i could not wrap my head around the illustration. But I managed to struggle through it till the end.

I like how the hair came out. Was really interesting to try and attempt. The freaken eyes though...also had trouble with the previous drawings eyes...I am having a bad eye month or something. Anyway, I left some parts of the illustration still a little rough. I feel like when its too finished it can look a little artificial. I need to find a way to keep some of the roughness in my illustrations. I am getting better with hair. Now I need to get better with skin and eyes.

(edit) In light of the fact that there is AI art these days that is really good, I feel I should upload my rough illustrations. Just to show that I did in fact draw my images. It would suck that if I started to get really good with my art, people would start to question whether or not I actually drew them. I also used to write very long winded details about my drawings. Would probably like to do that for the next illustrations. A lot of work goes into these and there are so many mistakes and edits. Eyes being too far apart and big. Heads needing to be rescaled (happened twice with my Marilyn Monroe image. She looked like a bobble head). I am thinking I should save an image each stage of my progress to show how it goes. I usually see artists having the perfect linework, then the perfect base color then the perfect mixing and then it just gets better and better. NEVER happens to me. I usually have to fight it until it works out.

I will start with this drawing but I only got the idea after I was done illustrating. Getting the roughs of each stage is difficult because I work haphazardly. It needs to be captured while I am working. Never the less, I have put together some roughs. It does not adequately show the struggle but it is a start. Some of the steps look like I did a part of the illustration and then the next step looks like I undid it. Ignore that. It was difficult finding the rights steps. Will be better documented on the next illustration. This is only for people who are interested in getting this far in my description. I realise people usually don't even read these. I can say anything here really. Poop!
