This is gorgeous! Do you actually add curve to the feathers, or do you create the illusion with the armature? What a lovely use for the old CDs and DVDs.

Glad you like it. The CD shards don't bend, but you can layer them in a way that makes it appear as if it's curving.

I'm curious, do you make the hanging part first? Or do you do that at the end? Or maybe somewhere in the middle of the process?

Thanks! I do it right at the beginning, I usually have a pretty clear understanding of where the sculpture's centre of gravity will be.
