Description The sea at night chills me,
With it's blankness.
A black oily mirror
That seems to draw me into it.
A blankness that has no end.
I am afraid of it.
Afraid that I might lose
Something precious to me
In its stark blankness.
This void that joins with the heavens,
Seamlessly,
As if beckoning me to join its depths;
A depth that has no end to it,
To draw me completely into its cold darkness.
I hesitate, afraid of it, but oh so curious,
Of what its dark coldness would mean.
Would it mean that I would no longer feel
The Pain,
The Anguish,
The Loss?
Yet, would it also mean that I would no longer feel
Warmth, Blessed, Content
And above all,
Love?
What would it all mean?
To me?
