White photocopy paper
Ballpoint pens
So I took a look at the September challenge and panicked. I have NEVER, EVER colored with ballpoint pens. But it was really a lot of fun.
And you know why the pink color is there? Because it's orange in disguise. When you are drawing late at night and you're tired, and go to color with orange... well pink looks an awful lot like orange.
I must say I had quite a surprise when I was checking the picture the next morning, expecting to see orange and black, and noticed the pink color. In fact, I didn't even realize I owned a pink pen!

When I read that we had to do it in pen, I sort of hyperventilated and then blindly grabbed the first pens that came to hand, which happened to be black (which I use a lot) and orange (which looks cool but then who uses orange on a daily basis? - So it's a two year old unused pen - used now, I suppose

I think your fine, the pink doesn't stand out too much and it's not taking away from anything, if you add more it might make that area too dark

I feel that working with colored pens can be interesting,
I think the pink would be over doing it~
I looked at your drawing again, and the color has its
appeal. You're welcome to look at some of my colored ballpoint
pen drawings in my gallery, most of the portraits I've done has
mostly orange, pink and lavender. One has a variety of colors on
her face. I think whatever works for you, is the best way to go~~

Maybe it's a bit too bold perhaps? - I'm not sure. It's way different from my usual style (I usually go for more muted tones) but the first pens I grabbed (in an "OMG, I'll never be able to do this" daze) were black and orange... hence a kind of fluorescent, glowy pic.

mm, I think we are in the same boat there. Using pen's or the like period is out side my comfort zone So I know that 'daze' well

But...shhhh... looking at it now, I think that there are some things that are little off - the face should be thinner for instance. But with pen... once it's there, it's a wee bit tricky to change. ::sigh::
