Description
In my current novel Storm Crow (which I am about to publish), I note that oreads (rock nymphs) look like cute gorgons, but without the always on petrifying stare. They do have the ability to turn a human to stone temporarily, and can also shift into a fully human and gargoylesque rock troll form. They also can phase through rock in that form, and as such are related to gnomes. The primary difference between oreads and gorgons is that the latter have a snake-tailed form, and their stare tends to be more lethal.

I'm having fun with Stheno, who's impish and also likes heavy metal.
