wow. but how did you manage to keep the water off of the lens? or did it have a cover on it?

Ah and now when I think of it, I think I could have used not the macro lens which is very short, but telephoto with very low f. I guess it wouldn't have get that good result, but would be similar and a lot safer.

Honestly? I didn't. When I saw how wet my camera was my heart stopped for a moment. But basically I just asked friend to stand near me and sprinkled the water against the flowers while I stood next to them.
