Wonderful shot. Even without the cloud it would have been a very nice shot! But with the wave included it's more special.
It's always dangerous to shoot with rough salt waters. I end up wet every once in a while too. Make sure you have assurance

A few weeks ago at Portland I got knocked on my butt by a 15ft wave (I was right down on one of the lowest ledges - about 3 ft from the sea). It came right over me. I managed to keep the camera in the air on the tripod as I hit the deck and keeping it dry. It wasn't until 4 minutes later, drenched and stomping my way back up the rocks muttering that I suddenly realised the sea water had got inside my jacket, flooded my pockets and destroyed my Β£550 mobile phone. thankfully it was insured lol.
Portlands a fantastic place to shoot and this is defo an original shot with the lighthouse and a big wave at sunset

You not very lucky... that's why I keep my mobile in plastic bag. Special when You go shooting on you own. Never know when you need it. But Every photo witch looks nice is well worth it! Did You go maby on friday morrning (18.12.09) to Corfe Castle Again? I try in friday captured mist... but I don't know if I'm that lucky.

I don't know why you don't have so many more watchers than you do, your photos are amazing. I love how everything is so still and crisp and then right in the middle you have the movement of the water.

Great timing, and overall capture. Really like everything about this shot, from the clear water, and textures in the foreground, to the colours taking over in the clouds. Excellent composition with the lighthouse as well, spot on mate!
