“I know. But I can’t bring myself to think of those things. I want this one night just for us. Is that selfish?”
He wrapped her in his arms and pulled her close. “No. It’s not selfish at all. For one night, it will be just us.”
Soon, they were asleep. The flames gradually dimmed and died but they were warmed by a force much more powerful then fire would ever be.
