Well, concerning my work i usually do fast underpaintings with acrylics , in order to put values .
Then I start oil work (mix of "regular" oils for quick drying colours as ochres, and alkyd for the usualy long drying colours as white for example.)
I work on several pics seperatly, to let dry each coat. I don't varnish the pics (too long drying) before the scan.
I hope it's clear, my english isn't really good ^^

Hi Sebastian! i learned of you and Arawn when i bought Heavy Metal. i'm very glad you have a deviant account. very cool stuff you have going on. congratulations!

i notice you worked mostly in oils, including your comics works, may i ask how long does it take for you to paint one page? do you use a canvas board? how long is the drying time and do you have to spray it over with varnish for protection?
i ask because i'm still starting using oils which i found a very challenging media and needs a lot of patience doing. by using oils in your pages, how do you beat publishing deadlines?
