Description So... I threw together some stuff I had a home to create this own version of Scarecrow haha. It is literally a wardrobe cosplay.
Nothing used here was meant to be for this version.
But I like it. It's simple and scary and looks like something Jonathan Crane could wear before he went full out Scarecrow.

And this is also how I'm imagining Scarecrow in a webseries that I am currently writing, featuring some of Gotham's most wanted before and during their rise as villains. It is an idea I've had for a couple of years now. And I want to give the characters a little more depth. I want people to be able to relate to them more and even feel sorry for them. I'm going for a lot darker feeling too. Where Batman is the villain...

Now that's a Scarecrow! Too bad Nolan's Scarecrow couldn't look that scary.

Haha. I take that as a compliment. Thank you!

And I agree completely. I was a bit disappointed with Nolan's Scarecrow design...

Great cosume, great pose!

This is fantastic!  This is a great overall 'general' scarecrow look as well.   I have seen MANY scarecrow costumes, and they just are not as good as this.

You are a master in your field.

Keep up the great work!   Can't wait to see what you have planned next!

You're welcome.

Great!  Halloween was fun over here I had a few scares out this year.  I will be posting a video shortly.  I just have a bunch of clips to go through and edit down.

I always say though, had you been over here...there would be some wet pants for sure.  There are very few that go through the trouble to go to the extent that you do.   Yes we do have very creative people here, but some of the best costumes I have seen usually are from Europe...and most people in Europe don't celebrate Halloween!

BTW, here is the latest from me:

And my wife's costume for this year:

We were going for a style bettween how Halle Berry looked in the 3rd and 4th films.

Her hair and belt (X-men 3):

I just love her hair in this movie

Most of the rest of her outfit (X-men 4):

cdn.screenrant.com/wp-content/…

Much of the outfit I managed to duplicate.  I subbed out her gloves for arm bracers.   I gave her a layered look for the cape so it almost looks like she has two capes on.  She has wrist straps that tie to the cape to give the wing look.   Her top isn't as detailed as the one Halle wore in the movie, but I found the shiny different sized buttons going on a diagonal to be a nice futuristic superhero look, so it fits.   The top also had an asymmetrical hem which duplicates the skirted look on Halle's outfit.   Instead of tight fitting pants and boots I opted for a pair of palazzo (wide legged) pants.   My wife wore short boots to complete the look.

I was extremely pleased with the results and I was amazed at how my wife looks as Storm.   She makes a very 'cute' Storm and I really love that wig on her.

Compared to Maleficent this was a MUCH easier costume to do.  I think it was mainly because my wife does have similar traits to Halle Berry, whereas she doesn't look anything like Angelina Jolie.   So Maleficent was much harder to pull off...especially with the Moors look I went for.   One thing though, as far as I know, I am the only one to put together a Maleficent costume that uses real horns.

Another thing I have to say is that I took my kids to a corn maze for Halloween and while going through the maze, I thought of you and your Scarecrow cosplay.   You would have fit so perfectly in that role in the corn maze.  There would have been some wet pants for sure.

Keep up the amazing work, and keep an eye out for my Halloween video. I am going to put it together today and hopefully will have it up later on.

Rave.
