Kosa smirked. The fire raged on, devastating the Stonelands. Everything was going according to plan.
Kosa's pride, and the Nyekundu Shirika darted around, burning the land. Kosa and his viper companion, Nyoka, headed towards where the royal family was last spotted.

Kosa had already formed an alliance with the Moonlands, after it's crown prince Nyeupe, suddenly decided to go on a royal tour to hunt one animal from every kingdom. Nyeupe had been hunting a buffalo in the Pridelands, when he had been killed. Some thing, that even Kosa agreed, was justified. The buffalo had every right to hunt. The Moonlanders had been furious at the Pridelanders, and Kosa had emerged as a hero and an ally. He had then brought up the fact that hyenas should not be trusted for anything. And now the Pridelanders were allies with the Outlands, a hyena monarchy. Kosa had caused a lot of discussion among the animals of many kingdoms. Now to strike the iron while it was hot.

Kosa had sent his sisters, Njema, Nyofu and Kijani to hunt down some hyenas to make it seem like they were caught trying to set the Stonelands to fire. In the distance, Kosa's chosen successor Isibazi gave him a signal. Kosa rushed.
"King Jiwe!" Kosa yelled.
"Here!" a lion coughed. Kosa rushed towards the cave where the royal family stood. Several other Stonelanders had also gathered inside the cave, leaving little to no space. They had wanted to die with their monarch.
"Quick! This way!" Kosa yelled.
Jiwe rushed towards Kosa.
"What do you mean, this way? Who are you, stranger?" Jiwe, the king of the Stonelands asked.

"I'm Kosa." Kosa replied.
A few animals in the crowd gasped.
"Kosa? Cul-" Jiwe began, but was interrupted by Kosa.
"Yes. I'm the leader of the Cult of Cosmos." Kosa said, rushing out of the cave. "Follow me!"
Kosa looked at the sky, where a colony of bats, lead by Kabeer, one of Kosa's followers, was flying.

"My bats have located a safe path, King Jiwe!" Kosa yelled, running. Jiwe and the Stonelanders followed him. Kosa lead them out of the forest fire.
Kosa's heart began to beat fast as he lead the group into a crowd of animals. Could any of them have had seen his followers setting fire into the Stonelands? Kosa's worries eased as the animals began to cheer.
Jiwe rushed and embraced Kosa. "Thank you, Kosa!" Jiwe said. "Thank you."
Kosa smiled at the king. Just then, Arufu, Kosa's other sister, came rushing towards him.
"Kos!" Arufu yelled. "Kos! We found the cause of the fire!"
"What is it?" Jiwe asked, shocked.
"Hyenas!" Arufu replied, as Njema, Nyofu and Kijani arrived, each holding a hyena corpse.

"I knew it" Kosa growled. "Hyenas. Shouldn't ever be trusted. These Pridelanders are the reason they've grown in power."
"Are you suggesting?" Jiwe raised an eyebrown.
Kosa nodded. "Invading the Pridelands."
Jiwe thought for a while, before nodding again. "I'm eternally in your debt Kosa. Me, and our ally kingdom the Orelands will join you in your cause."
Kosa smirked. Everything was going according to plan.
