So guess what? Today, January tenth, is my birthday, and I'm turning seventeen!
Seventeen is actually my favorite number, so I think I may like it even better than sixteen. 
I'm sure I'll be receiving some great things today, but best of all is getting to share it with you guys!
So I decided to be all Hobbit-y again and give stuff away instead.(You know, 'cause hobbits give other people things on their birthdays instead of the other way around...yyyeaaaah. xD)
Anyway.
This is just one in a series of three shimejis I've posted.
Dib was the third shimeji I made, and probably the best-functioning due to that. I really love the way he came out, and I hope you guys will, too. 
Remember, he's free to download, so here's some instructions if it's your first time:
First, you'll need to download a program like Jzip, Winzip, or Winrar. The first one is free and it works just fine, so I recommend it. Once you've got that installed, choose the 'download file' button to the left of the image. Your computer will probably say something about how it doesn't know what program to open the file with, so choose to select a program from a list. Then pick Jzip. Once you've got it open in Jzip, you'll need to extract the files and put them in a folder. Then you just double click the 'shimeji' file (the Java one), and your shimeji should fall right out of the ceiling and into your screen! And I think that just about concludes all I had to say.

Well, I'm certainly not an expert, but about the only things I know how to do are located in the right-click menu you can get to through his icon. The second option from the top makes them all come to your cursor and sit down. Besides that, you can always pick him up and throw him around 'n stuff. xD
You know, looking back at this, it might be nice to redo him.

On behalf of insane Dib fans everywhere, I just wanna say thank you SO much for making him! I truly hope you do an updated version sometime-- that would be amazing but if not I still love this one to death

And yeah, I think I am gonna do the updated version soon~ To be honest, I already started work on him while I was supposed to be doing a big important paper for college buuuuuuuuuuuuuuut it's done now so whatevs so he should be done pretty soon! Did you know that if you try to play a computer game while they're up, you won't be able to click on things they're standing in front of even though you can't see them? It's totally weird.

Hm...well, firstly, you want to be sure you've got the latest version of Java, and that you're clicking on the file marked 'executable JAR file'.
And if none of this stuff explains it, I recommend looking up a FAQ.

Hm, that's odd. Are you sure? :/ I tried downloading it myself just now, and it seems to be there. It's the one labeled 'Executable Jar File'. Did you try running that?
I'm not really sure how to convert it to RAR, so I hope that won't prove to be a problem...

There's not one on mine... There's 5 File folders, a WiRAR Archive, a Internet Shortcut, and four text documents.

Ooh, I just thought of something- when I created this, I copied another shimeji's files and replaced the images. Included in that one's pack was an application labeled 'Shimeji', which is probably what you were looking for- but when I tried to upload Dib's files, dA wouldn't let me include it for some reason. I'd never uploaded a shimeji before, so I wasn't really sure what to do, and I just took it out.
I figured that wasn't really important because the Application never worked for me anyway- hence my including the Executable Jar File instead (speaking of which, if you haven't tried using it, that's probably the one you want to use). But if you specifically need the application thingy, I could try to upload it somehow.

Okay, so I downloaded the shimeji and extracted the files to a folder. (with Jzip) When I tried to open the java file It gives me an error saying It couldn't find the main class. Do you know what the problem is? o3o

Hmm...you clicked on the one marked 'Executable Jar File', right? There's another one in there that's an application, but it doesn't do the same thing. If you clicked the first one and it didn't work, then I'd suspect you need to download the latest version of Java.
If neither of these things work, I would recommend finding a good FAQ. They're very helpful!
