i haven't read the first book yet (i started from the third book) but i guess sophie could've put makeup on the baby and give it beautiful clothes

honestly she should have made the baby beautiful and dressed it up or bonded with it at all but she doesn't and honestly you could cut the pets out of the book and it wouldn't make a big difference??? the pets are pretty useless and i dont really know why they're there.
