Description I've always been disturbed by the fact that back then (and even today, actually) it was a norm for grown men to marry little girls. Did the girls have any say? Do they regret it, growing up? How were they treated?

My grandmother got married at 12 and had my mother at 16. She's the strongest, most loving, most amazing person I know.

I love this. The only thing that I noticed it that legs are missing. They are not under her, not in front of her. They are missing .
But other than that, amazing work!

This was actually my first photomanip and I hadn't had a good grip on perspectives and angles and whatnot; the photo came without any legs so I just threw it in with a background and voila! I guess you're right, looking at it now, she does look like she's missing her legs, doesn't she?

Thank you anyway, and glad you like it.

Thank you. This still remains my most meaningful piece and I've been trying to get that effect again but to no avail - yet!

My grandmother was just 13 when she was forced to get married by her older brother long time ago.... and still today so many children are married before they even turned 18! ;__;

I know, it's incredibly sad, isn't it? I like to believe that despite everything, my grandmother loves my grandfather very much, and that there are marriages that happen this way that end up in happiness. After all, my mother came out of it, and I love my mum.

A very moving theme and a great realization.

And I totally agree with you... it's really unbelievable that nowadays those kind of fixed unions still persist all around the world.

Congratulations, you're very talented.

This is very moving; the emotion just pours from this piece. I'm very glad you won something with this - it deserves every bit of praise.

I'm really glad when my stock is able to help someone create something that is both personally important to them and so touching and profound.

I'm proud to have my stock included in this. I'm glad you found my photos and that you were able to use something I captured in such a beautiful and powerful manner.

Wow, your comment totally made my day (night). It's just so refreshing, getting a comment that is more than just an empty praise - especially from a stock provider such as yourself.

Thank you for your words and your photo.
