Sonsen was a  Nlian   who existed in my AU New Start verse

She was a crewmember of the Silvenyo, the Nlian vessel that made First Contact with the  Tkarites .

Sonsen was born in the city state of Jomiyel, which had long been famous for its musical tradition. She went on to become a musician herself. She was skilled in both song and flute and composed several songs. She also possessed a deep fascination with history and culture and was skilled in computers. Personality wise she was calm natured with a soft voice and gentle manner.

In 2001 she lifemated Revan Tornal . The Mating struck them a year later and their son Rhy'thar was born in 2003.

She was born during the last days of the Nlian 6th Age; the Age of Unity. At the time of her birth, Nlians weren’t yet warp capable but had explored and built outposts on every world in their system, including Gemon, the largest moon of Zeuna, the gas giant on the edge of their system

In 2005 the Nlians, began experimenting with ways to achieve faster than light travel. In 2010, scientists on Gemon developed warp drive. Not long afterward they came up with an incredible breakthrough using Green Fire, a powerful incendiary power source. Through it scientists developed an engine capable of reaching warp 2.

The Nlians fitted a warp 2 engine on their most advanced ship, the Silvenyo and plans were made to send it to the Norayis System , Nlia’s closest neighboring system, located 4 light years away. It would have a twelve member crew of Nlia’s finest scientists, engineers and pilots. Tornal was chosen as second in command. As Nlian lifemates suffer duress if separated for a long time, Na'tye was allowed to accompany him. Two other crewmembers had their lifemates accompany them as well, bringing the total number onboard to 15.

In 2014 the Silvenyo was launched on its historic voyage. During its lengthy voyage Sonsen helped with Operations, but her primary role was as morale booster.

The Silvenyo arrived at the Norayis System after a journey of six months

While there they made First Contact with another species, the Tkarites.

This historic meeting began the Nlian 7th Age (The Age of Contact)
