Which can't possibly happen. You would assume that they wouldn't really allow dragons to mate with a dragoness from another element. Either Ignitus has Malefor as his ancestor or something like that, or somehow there's a purple dragon in his family line in the past, because genetics are important!

We have no idea how it works when it comes with the purple dragon other then one is born every ten generations. So chances are genetics might not be important. But if we assume they are Ignitus can still have the genetics from a purple dragon but not the line leading to Malefor. Malefor said that there have been many other purple dragons before him. Assuming the evil dragon is telling the truth Ignitus could be a decent of an earlier purple dragon.

Even then, dragons are known to live for hundreds of years. I personally believe that dragons would be 100 human years old at the age of 1000, so really a dragon who's 100 years old would really still be a child in dragon years if dragon years were 10 times as long as human years. To me, 1000 years is ten generations, as I would assume dragons would still have the whole 100 years thing would be the usual next generation. I'm saying that because I find it rather hard to believe that Ignitus and the others would know so much about the Dark Master to having known that the Well of Souls is the Mountain of Malefor if Malefor was born 10000 years prior to Spyro and Cynder even being born. And trust me, 10000 years is way too fuckin' long!

Then the math is wrong somewhere. Maybe dragons reach sexual maturity sooner? Or maybe it's not every ten generations. The guardians say Malefor was the first purple dragon while Malefor claims he was not the first. So how do they calculate generation and is it really ten generations?

That raises a fair point, but we all know that Malefor is manipulative. I like to imagine that there were purple dragons before him, and that dragonkind didn't learn to write history until Malefor came, that or no one saw a purple dragon, or, and this is what I support, the guardians refrained from worrying Spyro about any previous purple dragons.

Written history and maybe lost history. We saw the artwork depicting Malefor in the ruins of warfang. Sparx immediately thought it was Spyro. For all we know the dragon realms is not the original home of the dragons. In the original Spyro games the dragons were banished from the forgotten realms by the Sorceress. If there were more purple dragons they would have been there. And if the games are the same the dragons got banished. Malefor could be the first purple dragon to appear in the dragon realms. But that's just a fan theory.

That's actually a story on Fanfiction that I'm trying to find again, and it's one of the few Classic Spyro stories that I really really like! It was about that the Spyro in the Classic games was Malefor before he became the Dark Master. I didn't read it, because I was just skimming stories to find one in particular, but I found it really interesting.
I like that idea, but what I do is that Avalar is the Dragon Realms. Avalar is essentially the land where Warfang is located. If you look through Seeraphine's gallery, you might be able to find a map of the Dragon Realms which I use as reference for the land for my own stories, though I make it bigger. It actually is very loyal to the games, as it has the places Spyro goes to in A New Beginning and The Eternal Night, and the area from the Catacombs from DOTD to the Warfang Dam is next to the south coast, with the Burning Lands north of Warfang. It's a really good map, complete with those pirate apes from The Eternal Night!
I have kind of slowed down on my story, to my displeasure, but I have set up the stories that will follow, so that's something I guess. I am tempted to reveal a lot of my stories, but I'm trying to at the very least get my current story on Fanfiction done.

Same here. I was thinking of writing fan fiction. Giving the destory a story. Why is there a giant lava monster that can end the world as we know it? Those things don't just appear? What if a purple dragon created it to destory the world to save it from a greater evil. I'll have to take a look at your stories.

Drago The Firesword Dragon. That's my Fanfiction name. You will find more stories with just prologues than normal. Just stick mainly to the stories near the top, and you'll be fine. I'm working on more though, so it'll take a while.

Yeah. It's in Seeraphine's gallery. I personally use it as a similar guide, though eventually my story is gonna expand. I hope to make my own, though it'll take years before I decide to.

That's actually a pretty good theory. Not only that but perhaps since the guardian in training is shy and timid that Merona would bend and twist the little one to her thinking (in other words corrupt the new soon-to-be guardian). I think you're on to something.
