It looks kind of cool but now it has nothing to so with the sun(el sol). Were you thinking of it having to do with the soul rather than the sun?

It was actually going to be a golden ring (the word sol can mean golden), and halfway through thought "Colorless mana sounds more silver", and... yeah.

I agree- I was playing it in EDH, and I decided that it's actually better than Moxen most (ok, only some) of the time.
