I wanted to do a "draw it again" to check my progress. I wasn't sure whether I improved or not, and redrawing an old drawing seems the best way to be sure.I decided to redo my first painted portrait, that I did in 2014. It was a portrait of my Lioden character, the first king of the Riverclaw pride : Audren, the black lion.
I tried doing another facing, roaring dark lion, but rather than Audren, I went with his successor, Iezael, who shares a similar colour scheme, just with some brown added.
The mane was a nightmare to me. I did it and erased it six times before being tired of it and accepting the last result (that is WAY better than the previous ones).
I'm not sure whether or not I may be satisfied of this drawing by itself, but as a "draw it again", I'd say it's good enough : I improved, that's for sure.
