Madison and Suki spent a lazy Sunday afternoon in the park today. ^__^=======================
Madison is a Volks F34 FCS boy.
Natsuki is a Volks Williams.

Aww, thank you! I had fun making the kite for them. [Then my cat chewed it all up after we got home, lol!] I really love Madison and Suki together. Madison's so short and tiny next to Suki. They make me go "awwww" all the time. ^__^

Madison was holding the string in both hands for a few shots [that weren't as good] but the wind pulled it out of his other hand by the time I took this shot. Trying to get 2 boys to stand on an uneven field with the wind blowing like crazy was quite the production! We had so much fun though. Mr. Seijikat is a really wonderful photography assistant! ^__^

awwww But it was definitely worth the trouble for this shot! I don't think I've ever seen dolls flying kites before. 8D I doubt any onlookers haven't seen such a thing before either.

They had a lot of fun playing around with Madison's kite. [Even though the wind kept trying to whip it out of their hands.] I'm just glad that nobody else was in the park because that had to have looked really weird.

What, two adults setting up dolls and a kite in the park and then taking pics? Not at all! XD I always wonder what people think, too, or whether I'm just oversensitive and they don't even care or notice me there--lol

Hehe. Yeah, after being in SF and having a huge group of people gather around us [another large group of people] as they took photos of us taking photos it's been a bit more on my radar. It's not that I'm ashamed by them or anything, I just dread the 789646 questions that follow about the doll. Maybe i should make a FAQ and print it out and carry it around with me when I do outside shoots? ^____^

Haha--I would love to see you handing out preemptive pamphlets about your dolls when doing a public shoot. XD

It was really strange but kinda cool. Most of them were tourists but some were just families that were visiting the tea gardens. We [the doll people] had about... 8-9 doll people there, plus a huge amount of dolls. I had Cire, Mishi and Amanita with me and the rest of the ladies all had 2-4 dolls with them too, so a lot of dolls. We went there really early but as the morning wore on, more and more people showed up. And of course, we had the dolls all posed around various landmarks and points of interest and we were shooting photos of them and this big crowd just sorta gathered around us. But it was really cool in that the people that were gathered there were really interested and had lots of questions and were pretty cool. There was a family that actually left their two kids with us at one point [?!] and the kids killed us all when they asked us if they could have our business cards. [The kids were maybe 5 and 8?] The little girl kept asking us if we could make Cire [who she thought was a girl, lol] and another boy doll kiss. Some lady from Italy or Spain [I forget which] was all OMG WHERE CAN I GET ONE and took notes. There was also a high school/college girl [couldn't tell which] doing a paper on Japanese things [I think? I wasn't really sure] that interviewed some of us and took a bazillion notes and photos. We told her all about Volks and BJD in general and she was totally eating it all up. It was such a weird day but totally fun at the same time too. ^__^

It's awesome that the people were cool about it and funny that they left their kids with you [<-- these strangers have dolls, so they must be safe! lol] That girl writing the paper must have thought she'd stumbled onto a goldmine that day! Taking the dolls out is always an experience ^__^

I went out and flew kites with my friends yesterday too! It's a really cute idea and I like their kite.

Aww, thank you! I even put shoes on both of them [Suki and Zhao are the only two that wear shoes with any sort of regularity for some reason] but then chopped off their feet in the frame. lol.
